And i'm like; What's up with the whole Noise about February 14th???i mean is it a day of redemption ?...Well,, it's too much of an overrated day for me....I see it as a day which is wearing a jacket of Love but an Underwear of Lust...and when the day gets hot and the jacket is off!Boom!!!
Sooooo...What is Valentine' all about? What are your plans for the "Big day" since Its like a birthday to some of you...lol.....From my research, it shouldn't be celebrated at all...but most people wouldn't want the truth.
I could go over and over again on why this day should be scratched outta the calendar...there are 365days in a year, why should One day, just one day be tagged as a day of love?....have y'all forgotten that the greatest of all is Love?and God is Love???which means, every day of your beautiful life is a day to celebrate Love...Love yourself, Love your Neighbor, Love your enemies...Love Love Love!... Breathe Love, Live Love, Show Love, Act Love, Embrace Love....♥♥♥♥♥
I have nothing against February 14Th,, as a matter of fact...I'm actually interested in knowing what y'all have got planned Up for the Lucky heart....it could be your parents, the orphanage, Less privileged... anyone!it's all about Love yeah???

ReplyDeleteI mean a true man should be giving his girl all those things she wants on Valentines day, everyday....well often. the cards, the chocolate, the hugs, the holds, the sex, the jewelry...all that.
the girls should do the same in whatever they do on valentines day.
but valentines day should be celebrated, with the right person its cute, lets call it free PDA day.
I'd like to show true emotion on Valentines day. every year my emotion would be based on how far we've gone, what situation we'd be in, happy or sad, beautiful or ugly, rich or poor, no, rich and satisfied.

I happen to support the idea of valentines day, we hav to admit that when in a relationship over time we get carried away with daily life struggles. So a day is set out for us to remind out loved ones how much they mean to us. Its almost impossible to put that effort on a daily basis. Imagine a couple married for 20yrs. Atleast on dt day they can go to a fancy place, sleep in a hotel, remind demselves what love is.
ReplyDeleteNow remember I said I like the idea, cos that's the idea, but the reality is that it has been misplaced, its now overhyped and done totally wrong. Its now about expensive gifts, sex, sex, partying nd drugs. But u know d worst part? The singles.....the nature of it has made singles feel so rejected nd alone, there is no day with as many sad people as Valentine's day. Which kinda defeats the point. Like you r fine everyday but suddenly its feb 14th nd u feel so sad nd alone, masquerading in single nd proud, or vals means nothing to me, or ladies night out cos u simply cant bear lying on ur bed nd hearing the tales of love of others. I don write tire abi? Lol. My 2cents. ,
As for my plans? I'll go out nd watch others celebrate love, its always a pleasant sight on vals night in any Nigerian city. This year I will see how Abuja celebrates love. Cheers. Signed Foodi
